Here's the start of my final idea so far, thanks to the tutor for helping me out on the code. At the moment there are five ellipses, when you mouse press then drag them, ellipse patterns appear, they fade away and leave the marks of where you drag the ellipse on the background.
I found something interesting about my mouse toy so far, when you make the ellipses touch each other, one will disappear out of the screen and won't come back. I might try and see if I can do something else with the idea of the ellipses disappearing or even just something interactive happens when the ellipses touches each other.
