Here are two images of the scrap acrylic that I heated up and bent. Turns out that heating the acrylic didn't make it bubble up, as long as you keep a fair distance from the acrylic with the heat gun it will be fine. So next I'll be heating up some of my acrylic model pieces and bending them.
