Group task two: Iron Curtain video

Statement:
For our DSDN 101 group projects we were assigned a Interior Furnishings company called 'Iron curtains'. As a group we had to decide who our target audience would be and then establish a poster that communicated to the viewer who our target audience was and what we were advertising. We decided that our target audience would be middle age men, to portray this in our poster we went with a industrial theme, involving aspects of industrial construction such as iron beams and cranes. For these two group projects we also had to come up with a slogan that again depict what type of company we were and communicate with our target audience well, so we came up with the slogan "STUFF BUILT TOUGH".
In our second project we made a clip that had to advertise who the target audience were and what company we were. So for our clip we advertise a strong built man that through a weak man a new tough chair and converted the weak man to a strong, this portrayed our slogan "STUFF BUILT TOUGH".
For our advertisement clip we only showed two men in the film to show who our target audience was, and we used the chair to enforce the fact that our company was an interior furnishings company.

DSDN 101: Test animation

This is my test animation video, it's of a cardboard box unfolding then folding itself back up into a box again. I used a Panasonic V100 HD camera and a tripod to take the pictures. Its been edited with windows movie maker.

DSDN 101: Video inspiration

This video here gives me an idea for my project, I'm thinking about doing something similar like it, but except I won't be building the whole bike to together, I will only be putting the pegs and the front wheel on the bike.

DSDN 101: Storyboard examples

This is a comic style storyboard, I won't be using this sort of style storyboard for my one but I like it how they show the action in different angles and as you can see they have put a lot of work into comics.

This is a good type of storyboard to use because the frames are in order and the writing is at the bottom of each frame so it's easy for the viewers to read.

I like how this storyboard is in a film strip because it shows how the frames are like a film playing and it's quite a simple storyboard with writing on the side of each frame so it's easy for viewers to see whats going on in the story.
