subject: French Rococo is an 18th century artistic movement and
style which affected several aspects of the arts.
1. The book is about an exhibition
that was held at the National design museum in March 2008 which called the
continuing curve, 1730-2008. It explores the Rococo styles and its continuing
revivals up to the present day in multiple fields, including
furniture, decorative arts, textiles, prints, and drawings. I might learn
something new about Rococo design by reading this source. Coffin, Sarah.
(2008). Rococo: The continuing curve. New York, NY.
2. The journal article shows us a few
of the French rococo designs and on each one it gives us a little description about
it and who was the person who designed it. The article could be useful because we
might see these designs in our course and we can learn about them with this
article. Gimelson, Deborah. (date unknown). French Rococo Decorative Arts. The
Magazine Antiques; (1990); 137, 3; ProQuest Central. 3.
3. The edited book has information on
the creation of the rococo that’s involve with Louis XV and, it has an introduction
page that talks about rococo with Germany and France. The source has enough
information about creating the rococo and about Louis XV so it will be useful. Kimball,
Fiske. (1943). The creation of the Rococo. Philadelphia museum of art.
4. The website has a few images of
French Rococo style furniture and a description about them. There are
information talking about the influences on Rococo, Rococo furniture makers and
end of Rococo design. I can learn about Rococo furniture from this website and
understand more about the influence on Rococo. Furniture Styles. (2004). Retrieved

5. The image is a French Rocco design,
the name of it is “Embarkation for the Island of Cythera” which was by Antoine
Watteau in 1717. The colours that have been used and the water stream in this
picture tell us that French Rococo designs have water themes in them. The image
tells me and helps me remember what French Rococo designs look like.
